About Holland Green
HollandGreen is a multidisciplinary Design Practice of Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Designers and Project Managers.
HollandGreen designs and delivers exceptional homes and gardens across the UK and internationally, and the team relies on cutting-edge technology to bring design visions to life. From 3D modelling and visualisation to immersive presentations, cloud-based collaboration, digital sketching and sustainability tracking, high-performance tools power every aspect of its success.
Yet, despite being at the forefront of design technology, HollandGreen's IT procurement was anything but: Traditional buying and leasing models weren’t agile enough for such a fast-moving, collaborative practice.High-end equipment came with steep upfront costs, and the team needed a smarter way to equip its designers with the right tools at the right time.
The Challenge
In 2020, as remote working became the norm, HollandGreen made a critical shift from desktop tower PCs to high-end laptops. This gave designers the freedom to work from anywhere, but buying devices outright for a team of 35 (and growing) was unsustainable, not to mention the fact that one third of an employee’s life is spent on a laptop, so it was critical for HollandGreen to make sure they have the very best, premium products to make sure the technology wasn’t slowing down the design process in any way.
Traditional leasing allowed HollandGreen to spread the costs while making sure employees always had access to the latest technology, but far from solving the problem, at times it made things worse. The providers worked with third-party lenders who bundled multiple devices into a single rigid contract, making it impossible to upgrade just one laptop without affecting the entire fleet. Hidden fees crept in, and simple requests – like extending a lease or replacing a device – became an admin nightmare.
HollandGreen’s rigid IT procurement meant it was forced to buy high-end devices outright – an admin-heavy and financially unsustainable option.
Traditional leasing models locked multiple devices into single contracts, making it impossible to upgrade or replace just one without impacting the entire fleet.
Hidden fees, slow repairs and complex processes caused project delays and impacted productivity and staff morale.
Previous lenders didn’t align with HollandGreen’s sustainability goals, offering little to no clear commitment to refurbishing, reselling or responsible recycling.
Why Ooodles
As the business grew, it became clear HollandGreen needed an IT provider that worked for them, not against them. After exploring alternatives, HollandGreen chose Ooodles because it offered complete control without restrictions. By managing its own financing, Ooodles eliminates third-party lenders, unnecessary middlemen, and, most importantly, hidden costs.
Ooodles eliminated third-party lenders, middlemen and hidden fees to give HollandGreen full control over IT procurement with total cost transparency.
Ooodles’ asset management dashboard and Shop page gave HollandGreen complex visibility over contracts and upgrades, removing the need for outdated spreadsheets, admin-heavy processes and constant back-and-forth emails.
Flexible leasing allowed devices to be tested, and contracts could be extended or shortened without penalties, ensuring tech always matched business needs.
Results
From day one, HollandGreen’s Ooodles experience was game changing. In a few clicks, the company saved a staggering £62k on upfront costs for premium devices for its team.It ordered £30k worth of devices, which arrived in hours, not days, and for the first time, its team had full visibility over costs, contracts, and upgrades via Ooodles’ asset management dashboard and custom Shop page.
“Previously, procurement with our old provider was a constant hassle, endless back-and-forth emails and inaccurate spreadsheets,” says Apollo Spiliotis, Head of Design Technology and Visualisation at HollandGreen. “We were tied into 24 to 36-month contracts and hit with hidden fees when ending agreements early and if we wanted to upgrade a single device, we couldn't because it was part of a bundle of 10 laptops”.
Slow repairs, replacements, and downtime that once caused project delays are now a thing of the past. Ooodles' support allows designers and architects to stay focused, productive, and deliver the best client experience without distraction. And as a responsible design agency, HollandGreen needed a partner that shared its commitment to sustainability. Ooodles' focus on the circular economy and zero e-waste cemented it as the perfect fit - ensuring old devices are refurbished, resold, or responsibly recycled rather than sent to landfill.
“Knowing how serious Ooodles is about ESG too, and making sure devices are reused or recycled properly gives us confidence that we’ve made the right choice,” adds Spiliotis.

HollandGreen now leases 90% of its IT fleet through Ooodles, with plans to transition all remaining devices to its new scalable, adaptable IT strategy.
Employees have near-instant access to the latest, high-performance devices to maximise performance and productivity without damaging the bottom line.
Ooodles’ commitment to innovation, flexibility and sustainability has made it a trusted, long-term partner rather than just a supplier.
